My Molly seems to have a few extra hours on her hands these days, now that the young’uns have moved out, so I was thinking about getting a B/B business started up.

The meat’s usually fresh, and I make a real good tonic out back that I’d throw in for free.

Do you think $20.00 a night is asking too much?

I think $20.00 a night for roughing it at your house would be a bargain and an adventure.

We will be attending the annual chocolate festival in late March in Turin, Italy. We are also interested in visiting some wineries and olive oil mills.

For my honeymoon we’re going to go to a place called Anniversary Inn, which has several different themed rooms available. We’ll be there for a week and we want to go to a new room every night. Do you know if they normally will allow you to do this?

I’m really not sure. I’ve never heard of that. But it just depends on how nice the people are, and probably how much you pay.

I”m going through this process too… there are a ton of websites that will let you advertise for free or for booking commission. Try starting with www.newzealand.com – they’ll let you advertise for free including photos.

I travel to Manhattan frequently on business. I am writing this from a largely misrepresented B & B in West Harlem. I need to find lodging, in a good part of town, that is clean, comfortable, safe and reasonably priced. Any suggestions?

A nice, clean, comfortable hotel in a safe part of Manhattan now starts around $300. When you go lower than that, you start to get into bad things. When you go lower than $200, you really get bad.

My suggestion would be to look at Jersey City and take the ferry to Manhattan or Secaucus ane take the bus.

Has anyone been to Paris recently and stayed in a fairly nice bed and breakfast for decent price, generally around either the Latin quarter, montmatre or champs Elysees clemenceau?

You should do a internet search "starting a bed & breakfast" Get the insurance and inspecitons out the way. Hire some staff, or do it yourself intill word is out and you draw more business.
