There was a beef recipe that cam from some bed and breakfast or inn in the eastern mountains that recommended?

that you let the beef sit out on the counter overnight (it wasn’t ground beef, it was solid piece) …then it went in the oven the next night, it had a cream sauce that I think had wine in it…I cannot find it to save my life does anyone know a version of this recipe??
It could be so many things. Lots of sauces have wine in them.
Bordelaise-style sauce
Beef Wellington and Madeira Wine Sauce
Hold on a sec. I have an old cookbook named "Cooking with Wine" from 1963. I’m looking through it now. It may provide a clue.
Edit: Nope. Not much help here. I’ve got Beef Round in Sour Cream Gravy. A Burgundy wine & sour cream make the sauce.
Swiss Steak also will have a wine sauce.
